Finance – Terms and Conditions

When you order goods from Verdura and its associated websites www.digitalhealthpartners.co.uk or www.verdura.co.uk , you have an option to pay via finance.


Finance is a great way to spread the cost of your purchase.

To make it easy we’ve teamed up with AfforditNOW, who offer smart technology that lets you check your eligibility and the amount you can borrow without leaving a mark on your credit file.

You can also apply for and complete the loan application quickly and entirely online even if you haven't checked your eligibility.


ELIGIBILITY

You will only be considered for finance if:

- You are over 18 years of age.

- You are employed at least 16 hours per week or retired and in receipt of a private or company pension.

- You have a good credit history with no late payments, debt relief orders, CCJs, IVAs or bankruptcies

- You are a permanent UK resident and able to supply a UK address history for the last 3 years

- Have a valid email address and can access it.

- You are not a student (unless employed at least 16 hours per week) or unemployed single house person

- We welcome application from retired individuals, in receipt of a private or company pension (aged 50 or over at date of application).


OUR FINANCE OPTION

We offer an interest bearing finance option to help you spread the cost of your purchase over 24 months.

The value of the loan needs to be over £189.00 and you can choose a deposit from £10.00 to up to 50% of the total value of the goods.

The approximate monthly payment is detailed on each product page and a full representative example based on your actual purchases will be provided before confirmation of order, you will be able to select your deposit level here too.

PAYING WITH FINANCE

Simply add the purchases to your basket and select AfforditNOW at checkout. You’ll then be taken to the application form, which takes just a few minutes to complete.

There is a maximum purchase of two of each product per customer (customer must be aged 18 or over). Eligibility for this offer is subject to financial circumstances and status.

You need to pass a credit check and make an initial upfront payment which will vary depending on the product you choose.

You need to agree to an online consumer credit agreement (14.9% APR) with AfforditNOW (PayBreak Limited) (the "lender"). You must complete and enter into the credit agreement for yourself, not on behalf of anybody else, and use your own bank account details.


FINANCE DECISION

Your application will be assessed based on eligibility, credit history and affordability and AfforditNOW will let you know the outcome in just a few seconds. It’s important to know that when applying for finance a hard credit check is made which is recorded on your credit file.

Once approved, AfforditNOW you will need to digitally sign your credit agreement, pay your deposit and wait for your order to arrive.

In a few cases, your application may be referred for manual assessment and you’ll be notified by email of the credit decision within 24 hours. If you’re not approved for finance it could be for a variety of reasons and AfforditNOW will be able to give you more information.

Finance Applications can only be accepted if you have a valid UK bank account that accepts direct debits. If you are based outside of the UK or will spend any time out of the UK when a payment is due, your payment still needs to be paid. If you are to leave the UK on a permanent basis full payment of any remaining balance needs to be made before leaving the UK.


REPAYING THE LOAN

Your first direct debit payment will be shown on your credit agreement. This will show on your statement as a payment to AfforditNOW. You have the right to repay all or part of the loan early at any time.

You must ensure funds are available in your designated account in order for AfforditNOW to process your finance payments on the agreed dates. If the payment fails, you will incur an administration fee. If you fail to make payment within 10 working days of your payment becoming overdue, the remainder of your installments will become immediately payable and a further administration charge will be applied to your account.

If you are unable to maintain your payments the lender reserves the right to cancel your credit agreement. If have purchased the goods through any third party plan or program and this plan or program is cancelled, your plan or program lapses or you switch to another program and have not completed your payments under the credit agreement, your credit agreement with the lender will continue under the terms of that agreement.


CANCELLATION

There is a 14 day cooling off period where you can withdraw from the credit agreement after signing your documents. If you change your mind about your purchase you can cancel at any time up to 14 days after the day of delivery of your product (the “cooling off period”). To cancel, you just need to let AfforditNOW know that you have decided to cancel via your AfforditNOW account page.

A payment plan does not affect our standard refund and returns policy. Just contact us and we’ll cancel your application and AfforditNOW will refund your deposit and let you know of any outstanding balance if applicable.

If you cancel within the cooling off period, you will be refunded the full amount of your initial upfront payment. However, we reserve the right to reduce your refund to reflect any reduction in the value of the product due to your mishandling of the product.

Cancellation of a direct debit does not cancel the finance agreement; an alternative method of payment must be arranged. Failure to notify AfforditNOW of cancelling your direct debit will constitute to a breach of these Terms and you will then be liable to pay the outstanding balance immediately, plus any administration fees.

Please ensure your application is completed accurately to maximise the chances of your application being accepted. A decision will be made based on credit history available from credit bureaus as well as using public registers such as the electoral roll.

Please note that meeting the above criteria does not guarantee finance acceptance.


HOW DO I MAKE A CREDIT APPLICATION?

To start your credit application, add the product you wish to buy to your basket. On Check Out please ensure you select “Pay by Finance”. Once the checkout procedure is finished you will then be asked to fill out your details such as your name, address history for the last 3 years, employment details and bank details for direct debit by afforditNOW.

This only takes a few minutes and in most cases an instant decision can be returned. Sometimes decisions may need to be referred for manual checks, which may only be carried out during working hours. You will be notified of the decision by email once these are complete if this is the case.

If your application is unsuccessful and you have already paid a deposit this will be refunded automatically within 3-5 working days.


WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I AM APPROVED?

TIf your application is successful your order will be fulfilled.


MY APPLICATION WAS DECLINED, WHY?

Unfortunately we are not given a reason by the lender, so we are unable to comment on individual applications. If you believe your application should have been accepted please note that sometimes applications can be declined due to incorrect information being given. Please ensure your address history is entered correctly and is the same as registered with your bank and the electoral roll (if applicable).

If you have paid a deposit this will be refunded automatically within 3-5 working days.

HOW ARE PAYMENTS MADE?

Your initial deposit is payable by credit or debit card. Once your order has been shipped we will notify the credit lender. Payments are then taken automatically by direct debit. For more information, please see your credit agreement.
